Mentor Collective Helps Hartnell College Improve Academic Outcomes
Hartnell College has faced significant obstacles in retention and completion rates, particularly among students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Additionally, the college's diverse demographic includes many adult learners and first-generation college students who often juggle multiple responsibilities while managing their educational pursuits.
Hartnell College partnered with Mentor Collective to implement a mentorship program to enhance student success, resulting in an 11.4% increase in course success rates and a 10.9% increase in student persistence rates, demonstrating the program's effectiveness in improving academic outcomes.

"Many of our students are ‘on the go,’ and through Mentor Collective, they are able to connect with their peers, stay connected to the college, and receive the support they need to accomplish their academic and professional goals."
ROMERO JALOMO, PH.D., Vice President of Student Affairs, Hartnell College
