University of North Carolina - Greensboro Increases Sense of Belonging for Transfer Students
The Transfer2Transfer peer mentorship program has scaled since its launch in 2020 to engage approximately one-third of the school's incoming transfer population. In that time, having a peer support network specifically geared to transfer students has had a positive impact on sense of belonging and resource utilization.
I cannot stress to you enough how the partnership with Mentor Collective has made our mentor program possible. This would not be a thing if we didn't have the templates, the platform, the support, the matching, the ability to go to a dashboard and to see quickly how many connections have been made, how many conversations. This is the capacity-builder that makes our program run. Yes, I have a staff person whose time is dedicated to interacting with our mentors and mentees, reading those flags, and elevating them…but without the platform, it wouldn't happen.”
